THE WHITNEY HIGH STUDENT ROCK BAND

LIVE AT THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS - LONG BEACH, CA

JUNE 17, 2007



A couple of weeks ago I strolled merrily over to
Cal State University Long Beach where the
Special Olympics were being held.

It was quite an affair, with events sprawled all over campus...
including swimming, basketball, track and field and more.

I was there a couple of hours and managed to see part of
nearly every event. I was especially enthralled by the special kids
(and adults) who took part in the SHOT PUT competition
and also had fun strolling around the mini-carnival
that had been set-up for everyone's benefit.

On my way out I heard some wild and pounding
and far out rock music coming from a small stage.

I'd never heard any music like it...out of control
and wild is my best description. I quickly flipped my
handy digital camera to MOVIE MODE and began
documenting the great and fun rock band.

I later found out that the band is from
Whitney High School and all the singers in the
band are special kids.
